Intuit Releases QuickBooks® 2010

Monday September 28, 2009, Intuit Inc. announced the release of QuickBooks 2010, the newest version of its financial software for small businesses.

New features in QuickBooks 2010 include an upgraded Company Snapshot, which provides a tailored visual overview of how a business is performing and Add/Edit Multiple List Entries directly from data in Excel!

Also, there are more than 25 applications currently available via the new Intuit App Center! The apps are broken up into four categories — running your business (employee management and expense tracking), managing your productivity, managing your customers, and reducing costs. The last category even includes apps that make your business more environmentally friendly, including one that assists in tracking and managing marketing campaigns and sales leads!

Intuit has also added some other web-enabled features for their desktop software. Users can scan and upload all of their documents to be stored online.  With Intuit Check Solutions, users can also scan their checks and send the image to the bank, where the money is deposited.  No more trips to the bank!  QuickBooks 2010 also includes a Marketing Center, where business owners can launch email marketing campaigns — it’s a bit of a stretch from QuickBooks bookkeeping purpose, but the connection has its advantages, since businesses can use the customer and sales data in QuickBooks to plan their campaign, and later to judge its success.
