IMPORTANT NOTICE to MAS90/200 Extended Solutions Users
Sage Software has made the decision to focus on continuing to build value into the MAS90/MAS200 base product, simplify their product portfolio, and begin phasing out Sage MAS 90 and 200 Extended Solutions. This phase-out process includes incorporating the main features and functionality of many of the top Extended Solution titles, adding market-driven features to the base product. All customers will receive the benefit of many new features with the new release and product updates as part of being on a current maintenance or support plan without the additional expense of each Extended Solution title. They’ll begin delivering that additional functionality over the next several releases and product updates.
Those select titles will continue to be sold until the time they are included in the base product, however since the incorporation will be Sage’s focus, they will not be bringing Extended Solutions titles up to compatibility with the V4.4 release. The remaining titles will be provided to Source Code Development Partners so they can utilize their expertise to provide the specialized solutions for Sage MAS 90 and 200 customers.
If you currently have extended solutions installed, we are recommending that you upgrade your MAS installation to V4.3 by the end of 1st quarter 2010 in order to bring your extended solution(s) up to the most current, and final, version. Please give us a call to schedule that upgrade.
We are also recommending that we schedule a phone call to discuss:
- Do you have any Extended Solutions that will be retired?
- Can the functionality of those Extended Solutions be replaced using new features and functionality built into the core MAS product?
- Will any of the Extended Solutions that are being incorporated into the new V4.4 release be an opportunity for your company to improve its processes?
If you do have an Extended Solution that will be retired, where that functionality is vital to your business processes, we will work together to select a MAS90 / MAS200 Master Developer to maintain this product in future versions for you.
