Why is my email box full and how do I fix it?
At some point you may get an email from the email server that your "mail box is very close to being full" or is already full. This can be distressing and you will want to fix this problem immediately because once full, you will no longer receive emails.
The mail server retains all emails until it is instructed to delete them. There are a number of issues that must be considered.. First, some definitions.
Webmail
Webmail is a web-based interface to your pop server account.
It is important to remember that webmail is NOT A PLACE! It is simply a view into the pop server account. Webmail does not get full! It is your pop server mail box that gets full.
SonicSpider provides unlimited email support to the webmail interface.
Personal Email Client
An Email Client is a software program that you have installed on your personal computer that retrieves messages from the pop server. Examples of "personal email clients" are:

If you use webmail a lot, then you may need to do some "selective pruning" of your inbox.

Then click the red "X" to delete all selected messages. (Tool bar on upper right)

Next, you need to empty the "deleted" folder. Again, click the check box in the upper left and then click the red "X" in the tool bar on the upper right.
