If you have a Google account then you already have a Google profile! Make sure it is up-to-date with your lastest business information. You can upload links to your website, blog, LinkedIn account, and Facebook. You can customize it with your company logo or a picture of yourself.
Once you have a Google account and profile you can write reviews for other businesses that you network with. You can also invite clients and business partners to write reviews about your own business. Next time someone Googles your business, those reviews will show up in the results. People can start reading testimonials before they even get to your website. Talk about getting off on the right foot!

It is important that you are registered with Google Local Business. Google tries to index as many business locations as possible in Google Maps. However, you need to make sure that all the information is correct and complete. Don't leave it up to Google to get it right.
