How to manage your own domain in the SonicSpider Domains system.

Managing your domain in a personal account.

If you have a personal account in the SonicSpider domains system (part of the Enom.com registrar system) this document will assist you in managing your domains.

If you don't have a personal account then contact SonicSpider support at support@esonicspider.com and we will be glad to assist you.  Remember that once your domain is in a personal account that SonicSpider can no longer manage your domain setting for you. That responsiblity is now yours.

Logging Into Your Account

Your first step is to go to:

www.sonicspiderdomains.com

In the upper right corner you will see this menu

Click Login...

You will now see the login screen:

Enter your Login ID and Password. Remember that this is case sensitive. If you have forgotten your login and/or password you will need to contact support at support@esonicspider.com and we will email that information to you if your email address matches the one on file. If not, we will need to speak to your via phone to confirm your identity.

Managing Your Account

Once you have logged in you will see a menu on the left sidebar similar to this one:

The "My Account" details are shown. Here you can setup your account information and see an overview of your account.

Setting Account Information

ICANN, the international governing body of domain names requires that your account information be accurate.  In addition you will want your account to renew automatically so the system will require credit card information. These tasks are performed from the above menu choices:

Overview

This provides an overview status of your account and a summary of your domains.

My Info

This is where you update your registrant, contact, and technical contact information.  At the bottom of this screen is also your payment information.  Note that there are fields with and asterisk next to them. These are required fields and the system will not allow a save unless you complete all fields.

Settings

This is where you can lock your domain to ensure that it does not get transfered accidentally AND where you set AUTO RENEW on all domains in your system.

Managing Domains

To manage a domain click "Domain Names" and you will see this menu:

 

Click "My Domains" and that will bring you to a screen that lists your domains. It will have the following header to your domain list:

 

Under "Domain Name (SLD)" click the domain you want to manage.  This will bring you to a screen with the following sections:

  1. DNS Server - Manage the DNS servers for your domain.
  2. DNS Settings - Click Configure to edit your DNS records. WARNING: THIS IS AN ADVANCED TASK,YOU COULD RENDER YOUR DOMAIN NON OPERATIONAL IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
  3. Email Settings - Edit or change your email settings
  4. Whois Privacy
  5. Name-my-Phone settings
  6. Name-my-Map settings
  7. Utilities - Contact info, Auto renew, Register Lock, EPP code, Move Domain, Passwords

Utitlities

There are three areas in the utilities that will be useful in managing your domain.

  1. Contact Information
  2. EPP Authorization Code
  3. Register Lock

Your contact information should be up to date, this is required by your aggreement with ICANN and the Enom.com registrar.

If you need your EPP Authorization code, Click the "Contact/WhoIs Information and browse to the bottom of this screen. you will find this section:

Click that link and your EPP Authorization code will be email to the email of record.

If you are transfering your domain you will also need to unlock your domain. Click "Register-Lock Options" to perform this task.
